Launched in 2013 and officially registered as a 501(c)3 charity with the IRS in 2014, The Shepherd Fund exists to support the care for orphans and needy children in the country of Kenya.
The Shepherd Fund was born out of Tim Kurth’s passion to help children in Kenya achieve a better life. His ministry with youth and children for over three decades was deeply influenced by his first visit to Kenya in 1999. It was there he first met Reverend Captain Daniel Mulwa and an instant bond was formed.
Daniel serves in Kenya as a member of the board of directors for Jehovah Jireh Children’s Home and Pastor of St. Simon’s ACK Parish.
The Shepherd Fund has no full-time staff in the U.S. or Kenya and keeps administrative expenses to a minimum. As the Lord provides for future growth we will continue to be responsible with every donated dollar to assure the greatest impact for the sake of the children of Kenya.
