Bless the Children of Jehovah Jireh

As 2024 draws to a close, we’re thankful for the generosity of all those who contributed for the sake of the children. In October Bishop Joel Waweru retired as the Anglican Church Kenya’s Bishop of Nairobi. We thank God for his service and his staunch advocacy for Jehovah Jireh. In his absence, the local support for the children’s home has softened. Those who support Jehovah Jireh through The Shepherd Fund now have an opportunity to step up and see that the children are cared for during this transition in church leadership.

Please prayerfully consider and contribute generously to provide for the children of Jehovah Jireh in 2025. The overhead costs of The Shepherd Fund are covered so that 100% of every dollar you donate is sent to support the children. You can click the donate button on any page of the website and make your donation. To avoid the PayPal service fees, you’re welcome to send your contribution by check to The Shepherd Fund address listed at the bottom of the page.

Thank you, again, to all those who have faithfully supported our work through the years and those who have joined us in 2024. Thank you, as well, to those who participated in this year’s trip to Kenya. Registration is now open for the 2025 team. If you’d like to visit Jehovah Jireh and meet the children, consider joining the team. Click the donate button and bless the children now with your generous contribution!

Jehovah Jireh Children’s Home

Nearly fifty children call Jehovah Jireh home. Located on the grounds of an abandoned rock quarry, Jehovah Jireh started as a vision imparted to the late Anglican Archbishop of Nairobi. Upon his untimely death the orphanage was passed on to the stewardship of the Nairobi Diocese of the Anglican Church.

While providing home, care and hope for the children, the orphanage has many challenges and a big vision for the future. The Shepherd Fund is part of that vision connecting resources from U.S. donors to the team in Nairobi. Your donations have a direct impact on the lives of children. A monthly gift of just $40 provides for the care of a child. Gifts of any size help provide food, clothes, school supplies and staff compensation.
